History and Development

Osborn Lane Consulting Engineers is a partnership providing professional engineering services in the disciplines of Structural and Civil Engineering.

The business structure is a partnership of Osborn Lane Pty Ltd (ACN 061 799 979) and Gremfield Pty Ltd (ACN 073 121 258). Current directors of Osborn Lane Pty Ltd are Peter Osborn and Robert Lane. The director of Gremfield Pty Ltd is Peter Brown.

The business originally commenced in Warwick in 1983, operating as Peter Osborn and Associates Pty Ltd. Since that time two partners, Bob Lane and Peter Brown have joined Peter Osborn to form the current structure. The company changed its name to Osborn Lane Pty Ltd in 1994.

Over a period of 20+ years since the commencement of the consultancy, we have brought together a group of professional and technical staff that provides a service of high quality and standard. We endeavour to find professional solutions to engineering problems that can be practically implemented, achieving the desired outcome of our client.

We currently operate from three offices in Queensland at Warwick, Brisbane and Ipswich. From these offices we service a wide area including the Northern Territory, Northern New South Wales and Queensland. Three principal engineers, Peter Osborn, Bob Lane and Peter Brown manage these offices with Peter Osborn acting as manager for the combined group. Our head office is located at Warwick. We employ 37 staff across all our offices as of June 2006.

We have a close working relationship with Osborn lane Industrial, which provides services to the mining and mineral processing industries from offices in Mt Isa and Brisbane. The principals of Osborn Lane Industrial are Peter Osborn and Anthony Bogaarts.

Understanding the needs of our client forms the basis of our professional service. Developing a client relationship that allows this to occur is fundamental to this process.
